About this project
This is an independently operated reference project about water planning in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its purpose is to help readers identify planning documents, understand their scope and follow claims back to dated sources.
What the project provides
- Independent descriptions of recovered historical plans.
- External links to preserved originals and official publications.
- Explanations of planning terminology, source types and reading methods.
- Comparisons that distinguish document changes from changes in observed conditions.
The intended readers include researchers, students, journalists and people seeking context for local water-planning questions. The material emphasizes documentary evidence and clear distinctions between observations, forecasts and proposed actions.
Independent status and domain history
The domain is under new ownership. It previously hosted a different water-planning website, and some publications still cite its historical addresses. The present project uses those addresses as routes into independent guides and external source access.
The current project is not operated by the State of Georgia, Georgia EPD, a regional water council or the former website's publisher. Old citations do not imply endorsement of the present content. Source titles identify the documents discussed rather than institutional sponsorship of this site.
Scope and limits
The historical library concentrates on regional documents from 2011. Other pages explain context or compare selected later evidence. It is not a complete collection of all Georgia water-related publications, a live monitoring service or an official source for agency decisions.
Use the source directory for official publications and data. Our editorial method explains how documents and statements are handled. Contact and corrections describes what information makes a correction useful.
